The design values (including the wall thickness, chemical resistance, and material strengths) of Ultraliner PVC Alloy Pipeliners are established primarily at the manufacturing facility under controlled, ASTM prescribed conditions, rather than in the field where variable and uncontrollable environmental conditions can influence the resulting values. The innate advantage of being able to control the product design values at the manufacturing facility gives us a level of quality control which is unsurpassed in the industry.
Ultraliner PVC Alloy Pipeliner is extruded in the same manner as other thermoplastic pipes such as ASTM D3034 PVC sewer pipe or AWWA C900 PVC water pipe.
However, in order to permit insertion into an existing pipe, the 4" to 12" Ultraliner PVC Alloy Pipeliner is flattened at the manufacturing facility and folded in the field and the 15" and larger Ultraliner PVC Alloy Pipeliner is deflected into an "H" shape at the manufacturing facility to reduce the cross-sectional area of the pipeliner.
The flat shape and "H" shape pipeliners are coiled in continuous lengths onto wooden and/or metal reels. By using wooden and/or metal reels, Ultraliner is capable of providing 8" Ultraliner PVC Alloy Pipeliner in lengths exceeding 1000' and 24" Ultraliner PVC Alloy Pipeliner in lengths exceeding 500'.
